The Lonely Oak Tree

Deep in a dense wood,
An oak tree stood all alone,
Yearning for a friend.

Animals came by,
But none stayed to chat a while,
Leaving the oak sad.

Days turned into weeks,
And weeks turned into many,
The oak lost all hope.

One day, a small bird,
Landed on the oak tree’s branch,
Singing a sweet tune.

The oak tree rejoiced,
For it had found a true friend,
A bond that would last.

The bird visited,
Every day, at the same time,
Bringing joy and cheer.

The oak tree blossomed,
Its leaves green and branches strong,
Happiness renewed.

Years passed, and the oak,
Grew old and tired, but content,
With bird by its side.

And on its last day,
The oak tree whispered goodbye,
Grateful for the gift.

The bird sang a song,
A tribute to the oak’s life,
And flew off with love.

The forest mourned, but,
The oak tree’s spirit lived on,
In the bird’s sweet tune.

Thus ends the tale of,
The Lonely Oak Tree and friend,
A bond that won’t end.
